THE ARTAS® HAIR STUDIO SOFTWARE

Dr. Berman was the first in the world to use ARTAS® Hair Studio Software in a non-research setting, during actual patient consultations. This software is an interactive, 3D-like patient consultation tool that revolutionizes the hair transplant experience. Using actual patient photographs, Dr. Berman can create a simulated hair transplant model to customize an aesthetic recipient site plan developed with the patient’s input. The patient can thus have a more realistic idea of what he/she will look like after different amounts of hair are implanted to the recipient site.

ARTAS® RECIPIENT SITE MAKING

Dr. Berman continues research and development on ARTAS® Recipient Site Making at the Berman Skin Institute as the Principal Investigator for Venus Concept, Inc. He is the first physician in the world to use ARTAS® Recipient Site Making for commercial cases.

The tiny incisions made by the robotic system greatly reduce the incidence of “shock loss” (loss of hair in the recipient area caused by older, manual techniques of incision making), as the macroscopic 3D-like Imaging system used to make the sites can help steer the needle incisions safely away from already existing hairs in the recipient area.
